1. Introduction

LensWise: Hidden Camera Detector ("LensWise", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

LensWise is a privacy inspection and room safety check application. It helps users perform guided room inspections and use multiple detection tools, including WiFi scanning, Bluetooth scanning, infrared and lens reflection checks, magnetic field scanning, local network device discovery, room inspection checklists, history reports, and PDF report export.

LensWise is designed to be privacy-focused. The app requests only the permissions needed to provide safety inspection features. Your room inspection history, checklist records, scan notes, and generated reports are stored locally on your device unless you choose to export, share, or send them to us.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your camera, network scan data, Bluetooth scan data, or room inspection records to track you across apps or websites.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect or process the following types of information depending on how you use the Services.

2.1 Information You Provide to Us

You may voluntarily provide information to us when you:

2.2 Camera, Infrared, and Lens Reflection Data

LensWise may request access to your device camera to provide features such as:

Infrared light inspection

Lens reflection checking

Visual inspection assistance

Guided room safety checks

Camera access is used to display and process visual information on your device during inspection. LensWise does not use the camera to identify people, record private activities, or upload camera images to our servers for surveillance purposes.

Unless you choose to take screenshots, export reports, or send visual materials to us for support, camera-based inspection data is processed locally on your device.

2.3 WiFi, Bluetooth, and Nearby Device Data

LensWise may process WiFi, Bluetooth, and nearby device information to help you identify unfamiliar or suspicious devices around you.

Depending on your device, Android version, permissions, and system settings, this information may include:

Nearby WiFi network names and technical details

Bluetooth device names and signal information

Local network device names, IP addresses, MAC addresses, hostnames, or other available network identifiers

Signal strength, connection type, and related device information

Scan time, scan status, and scan results displayed in the app

This data is used to provide WiFi scanning, Bluetooth scanning, local network device discovery, and room safety inspection features.

LensWise processes this information primarily on your device. Unless you voluntarily export, share, or send scan results to us for support, we do not collect, store, sell, or share your WiFi scan results, Bluetooth scan results, or local network discovery results on our servers.

2.4 Magnetic Field Sensor Data

LensWise may use your device’s magnetic field sensor, if available, to help detect unusual magnetic activity near suspicious objects.

Magnetic field data may include real-time sensor readings, signal changes, scan status, and related measurement values. This data is used only to provide magnetic field scanning and inspection guidance.

Magnetic field sensor data is processed locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers unless you choose to include it in support messages, screenshots, logs, or exported reports.

If your device does not include a magnetic sensor, the magnetic field scanning feature may be unavailable or limited.

2.5 Room Checklists, History Reports, and PDF Exports

LensWise may allow you to create room inspection checklists, save scan history, add notes, and export reports as PDF files.

This information may include:

Room safety checklist items

Inspection status and timestamps

Scan summaries and detected device information

User notes

Exported PDF reports

App-generated inspection history

This data is stored locally on your device unless you choose to export, share, back up, or send it to us. You are responsible for deciding whether and how to share exported reports with others.

2.6 Purchase, Subscription, and Access Information

If you purchase paid features, a 7-Day Travel Pass, monthly access, annual access, or other in-app products, payment processing may be handled by third-party platforms such as Google Play Billing.

We do not directly collect or store your full payment card information.

We may receive purchase-related information necessary to verify your access, such as:

Product type

Purchase status

Subscription status

Order identifiers

Transaction timestamps

App account or device-related identifiers where applicable

This information is used to activate paid features, verify purchases, provide customer support, prevent fraud, and comply with platform requirements.

2.7 Automatically Collected Information

When you access or use our Services, we or our service providers may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:

Device model, operating system version, app version, language, region, and device settings

App usage information, such as feature usage, app interactions, and preferences

We do not use your camera images, room inspection reports, WiFi scan results, Bluetooth scan results, or local network scan results for personalized advertising.

You can control personalized advertising through your device settings, Google settings, or other platform-level privacy controls.

3.5 To Protect the Services and Comply With Law

Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or technical issues

These third-party services may receive technical information such as IP address, request time, device or browser information, and requested resources according to their own privacy policies.

LensWise may request certain permissions to provide its core privacy inspection features. Depending on your device and Android version, the app may request permissions such as:

WiFi or network access, for WiFi scanning and local network device discovery

Location-related permission, where required by Android for WiFi, Bluetooth, or nearby device scanning

Notifications, where applicable

Storage, media, or document access, only if needed for report export, file saving, or sharing features

You can control app permissions through your device settings.

If you deny or disable certain permissions, some features may not work properly. For example:

Without camera permission, infrared and lens reflection checks may not work

Without Bluetooth or nearby device permission, Bluetooth scanning may be limited

Without network access, WiFi scanning and local network discovery may be limited

Without storage or document access, PDF export or sharing may be limited on some devices

You are responsible for using LensWise safely and legally. LensWise is a privacy inspection and safety assistant. It should not be used for illegal surveillance, unauthorized network access, harassment, trespassing, or any activity that violates applicable laws or the rights of others.

Detection results may vary depending on your phone model, sensors, permissions, lighting conditions, network access, device configuration, and the type of hidden device. No mobile app can guarantee detection of every hidden camera, recording device, tracker, or surveillance device. Always manually inspect suspicious objects and follow local laws and safety guidelines.

6. Data Storage and Retention

LensWise is designed with local-first data storage. App data such as room inspection checklists, scan history, user notes, app preferences, and generated reports may be stored locally on your device.

You may be able to delete local data by:

Deleting individual reports or history records inside the app, if available

Clearing app data through Android system settings

Uninstalling the app

Deleting exported PDF files from your device storage or file manager

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Support communications may be retained for a reasonable period so that we can respond to your requests, maintain records, and improve customer support.

Data processed by third-party service providers may be retained according to their own retention policies and applicable law.

7.1 App Settings

You may manage certain app data through the app settings, including scan history, report settings, checklist records, app preferences, theme settings, and other available controls.

You can control app permissions through your Android device settings, such as camera, nearby devices, Bluetooth, WiFi, network, notifications, storage, media, or location-related permissions.

If you disable certain permissions, some features may not work properly.

7.3 Local Data Controls

You can manage locally stored app data by using in-app deletion features, clearing app data from system settings, deleting exported files, or uninstalling the app.

Please note that if you share exported PDF reports or screenshots with third parties, we cannot control how those third parties store, use, or share that information.

7.4 Advertising Choices

You may control personalized ads or reset your advertising ID through your device settings or Google settings.

7.5 Purchase and Subscription Controls

You can manage subscriptions and certain purchases through Google Play or the relevant payment platform.

If you purchase a 7-Day Travel Pass, it is intended as a short-term access option. If it is offered as a one-time purchase, it does not automatically renew. Monthly or annual subscription options may renew automatically unless canceled according to the payment platform’s rules.

7.6 Marketing Communications

If we send promotional emails, you may opt out by following the unsubscribe instructions in those emails or by contacting us. We may still send service-related messages when necessary.

7.7 Data Access, Deletion, or Correction Requests

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable law and identity verification.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Payments, Travel Pass, and Subscriptions

If the Services offer paid features, a 7-Day Travel Pass, monthly access, annual access, subscriptions, or other in-app purchases, payment processing may be handled by third-party platforms or payment providers such as Google Play Billing.

We do not directly collect or store full payment card information. Payment providers may collect and process payment information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

We may receive purchase-related information such as transaction status, subscription status, product type, order identifiers, or account identifiers to verify access to paid features and provide support.

A 7-Day Travel Pass, if offered as a one-time purchase, provides temporary access for a limited period and does not automatically renew. Monthly and annual subscriptions, if offered, may automatically renew unless canceled according to the terms shown at purchase and the rules of the relevant payment platform.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes are effective when posted on this page unless otherwise stated.
